March 20 Birthday: Pisces, Birthday Number 2 & Personal Year 2027

By Birthday Compass · Updated Oct 24, 2026 · 4 min read

Think of this as the March 20 fact sheet: astrology's water Pisces Sun, numerology's birthday number 2, and the yearly cycle that sets 2027 as a Personal Year 7. Where traditions disagree, we say so, and where a number needs your birth year, we ask for it.

March 20 sun sign: Pisces

Counting from February 19, March 20 is day 30 of 30 — late in Pisces season, which ends on March 20. Some astrology writers picture this stretch as the sign in a more seasoned, reflective mood. The two fish of Pisces are a classic symbol of imagination and empathy — the sign astrology links most often with art, music and reading moods.

In the usual descriptions, Pisces is imaginative, empathetic and fluid. Applied to work, the tradition puts it like this: “You may do best with creative freedom and work that has emotional meaning.” Treat that as a prompt to compare with your own experience rather than a description of you.

Water signs are traditionally described as emotional and intuitive — reading people and moods. In the classic four-element scheme, Pisces belongs to water alongside Cancer and Scorpio; the trio is usually pictured as empathetic and intuitive. Pisces is a mutable sign: its season closes a quarter of the year and hands over to the next, so the tradition links mutable signs with adaptability and transitions.

Because March 20 sits right at the edge of Pisces season, it counts as a cusp date. Astrologers calculate the exact moment the Sun enters Aries for each year, and for some years that moment falls on the other side of March 20.

Born in March

March birthdays traditionally come with aquamarine or bloodstone as the birthstone and daffodil and jonquil as the birth flower. March takes its name from Mars, and for centuries the Roman year began in it, which is why the equinox month still feels like a starting line.

Birthday number 2: the 20th

Numerology traditionally links birthday number 2 with cooperation and tact: the day is read as a talent for partnership and noticing what others need. As a two-digit day, the 20th is read first as 2 and then, by some writers, through its parts 2 and 0.

Personal Year 2026 and 2027 for March 20

Month 3 plus day 2 is the fixed part for March 20. Add 2026 (which reduces to 1) and you reach 6, responsibility & service; add 2027 (11 → 2) and you reach 7, reflection & research.

From a 6 year in 2026 to a 7 year in 2027: the tradition moves from looking after others to looking inward, with 7 linked to study and reflection. Traditionally a quieter, inward year — research and refine rather than rush.

One way to read the two together: Pisces brings fluid and empathetic energy, while a 7 year asks for reflection & research — the question is how they balance.

Numerologists call 2027 an 11/2 year — the inspiration of 11 layered over the partnership theme of 2. How that frames a personal 7 is covered on the Personal Year 7 page. Personal Year 7 in 2027

March 20 in 2027, month by month

Inside a Personal Year, numerology adds each calendar month to get a personal month. For March 20 in 2027 that gives the sequence below; the second column shows the 20th of each month, so you can see which weekday it falls on.

If you like to time a new project to the calendar, the tradition points at March (the 20th is a Saturday), May (the 20th is a Thursday) and December (the 20th is a Monday) (), the personal months linked with starting, announcing and stepping up.

Your birthday month, March 2027, is a personal month 1 — a fresh-start month inside the year, which some people use for a small personal reset. The birthday in 2027 lands on personal day 3.

Themes are the traditional keywords for each personal month, offered for reflection. Nothing here predicts events.

Your Life Path: add the birth year

Your Life Path is the one number on this page that needs a birth year. Month and day are already fixed for March 20 — the month 3, day 2 — so only the year's digits change the result. Type the year to see it calculated, or use the table.

Years from 1940 to 2008. A year “adds to” 22 when its digits sum to exactly 22 (e.g. 1948 and 1993), which our method keeps as a master number. Note the master-number rows (11): numerologists who keep master numbers read those as their own Life Paths.

Questions to reflect on

1. What question would you love a whole year to explore?
2. When do you feel most at home in your work?
3. Which partnership in your life works best, and why?

Treat these numbers as a symbolic calendar: something to plan with if it helps, and to ignore if it doesn't.

Chinese zodiac and March 20

Your Chinese zodiac animal depends on the birth year, not on March 20. Lunar New Year never falls this late in the calendar, so the animal is simply that of your birth year. Our 2027 Fire Goat guide covers all twelve. 2027 Year of the Fire Goat
